Tedesco, Psy. D.

Dr. Jenna Tedesco earned her doctorate in psychology at Widener University and is recognized as a Certified Mindfulness Teacher- Professional through the International Mindfulness Teachers Association based. Jenna had practiced for several years in the community mental health system in Philadelphia, and eventually entered into private practice during which time she worked with Amnesty International and the Liberty Center for Survivors of Trauma and Torture, Philadelphia Family Court, and Federal Court. During this time, she began practicing mindfulness, training at University of Pennsylvania with Michael Baime, M.D. and teacher training at Jefferson with Diane Reibel, Ph.D. From this training, Dr. Tedesco developed mindfulness-based programs for use with those who have suffered from trauma. In 2009, Dr. Tedesco was offered a position at the Wilmington VA Medical Center. During her work at he Wilmington VA Medical center she developed and advocated for mindfulness-based interventions for Veterans and the people who love them. Some of these programs included Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), graduate practice groups, yearly practice retreats, mindfulness-based eating programs, mindfulness-informed programs for diseases of addiction, mindfulness-based diabetes management programs, and even a three-semester teacher-training program to teach other mindfulness practitioners to bring mindfulness and healing into their own communities. In 2016, Dr. Tedesco opened The Present Center for Mindfulness and Healing LLC, and transitioned to full-time private practice in 2018.
